Process Control Engineer for Power Plants
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled individual to join our Automation team as Process Control Engineer.
You will play a key part in advancing our capabilities and ensuring quality solutions for our client’s projects and plants within renewables power generation (Biomass-to-Energy and Waste-to-Energy plants), legacy Diesel-power plants, as well as supporting business within development of power-to-x facilities.

The position
You will join our DCS / Automation team in the Technology Function where you will work alongside our engineering colleagues within a wide range of disciplines from Electrical engineering, Installation, C&I and Industrial Automation.
We support BWSC's business areas and customers globally with engineering deliveries. This we do within plant design, programming, technical troubleshooting, commissioning and plant optimization during the lifetime of the plants.
We are involved in the complete life cycle from sales & proposal to project execution, FAT/SAT, commissioning and subsequent services and modifications.
Qualifications - High focus on quality
We are a project-oriented entrepreneurial Service, Operation & Maintenance (O&M) company.
Our daily work environment is fast-paced with high focus on cross-functional team-work. It is therefore important that you thrive under these conditions and are able to maintain both the detailed quality focus and overview of the workflow and interdependencies.
Moreover, we foresee that you are experienced in several of the below:
- Rockwell Allen Bradley PLC/HMI, RSLogix & Safety.
- ABB 800xA DCS
- Siemens Step 7, TIA, PCS7
- OT Cyber Security standards
- Technical site support and troubleshooting
- Commissioning experience
- Knowledge of risk assessment procedures such as ATEX, HAZOP
- SIL – Safety Programming
Experienced engineer with interdisciplinary skills
You have a true mind-set of an engineer within Electrical, Marine engineering or similar. You can work efficiently on an individual and independent basis as well as work in a team. The output of your work and verbal explanations and sketches can easily be understood by others.
We expect that you are proficient in spoken and written English including technical English, and willing to travel 20-50 days per year, as travel will be required in the position. You have a personal drive, and you will find your way around the organization to find whatever relevant information is needed for technical and coordination purposes. You find it natural to coach and act as mentor to less experienced colleagues.
Experience in the field is preferable but not a requirement to fill the position.
