Experienced turbine specialist for Power Plants

Do you have hands-on experience with steam turbines and a passion for optimizing power plant performance?

At BWSC, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated turbine specialist to help drive the future of sustainable energy. Join an international engineering environment where your expertise will make a real impact on renewable energy projects across the globe.

BWSC – Ever better energy!

Join us in our mission in building a world of sustainable energy and make a meaningful impact on the world of power generation and energy conversion.

BWSC is a leading player in the power generation industry, specializing in the service, operations, and maintenance of power plants. We are at the forefront of sustainable energy solutions, working closely with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to develop and construct cutting-edge power-to-x facilities. Our commitment to excellence, innovation, and environmental stewardship sets us apart in the industry.

The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled individual to join our team as a turbine specialist. You will play a key part in advancing our capabilities and ensuring quality solutions for our client’s projects and plants primarily within renewables power generation (Biomass-to-Energy and Waste-to-Energy plants).

You will join our Process & Plant Performance team in the Technology Function where you will work alongside our engineering colleagues within a wide range of disciplines from Process engineering, Layout, Mechanical engineering and Automation. We support BWSC's business areas and customers globally with engineering deliveries. This we do within plant design, technical troubleshooting, and plant optimization during the lifetime of the plants.

High focus on quality

We are a project-oriented entrepreneurial Service and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) company. Our daily work environment is fast-paced with high focus on cross-functional teamwork. It is therefore important that you thrive under these conditions and are capable of maintaining both the detailed quality focus and overview of the workflow and interdependencies.

Moreover, we foresee that you are experienced in several of the below:

  • Planning and performing outages and major overhauls of steam turbines
  • Technical assistance on operational challenges of steam turbines
  • Technical assistance with incidents causing unplanned outages or increased maintenance cost of turbines
  • Identifying possible explanations for sub-par performance of turbines.
  • Ensure high quality in RCAs and Technical Investigations
  • Identifying possible mitigations for operational risks
  • Identifying the need for relevant technical procedures, and assist with elaboration and implementation
  • Develop tools, procedures and templates to perform the abovementioned tasks
  • Operation and maintenance of power plants or similar industrial experience
  • Asset management strategies ensuring high availability and low OPEX

Experienced engineer with interdisciplinary skills

You have a true mind-set of an engineer. You can work efficiently on an individual and independent basis as well as work in a team. The output of your work and verbal explanations and sketches can easily be understood by others.

We expect that you are proficient in spoken and written English including technical English, and willing to travel 50 – 100 days per year. You have a personal drive, and you will find your way around the organization to find whatever relevant information is needed for technical and coordination purposes. As a senior engineer you find it natural to coach and act as mentor to less experienced colleagues.

By joining BWSC you get the chance to impact and contribute to meaningful projects that promote sustainability and environmental responsibility. We offer an exciting position in a dynamic, skilled, and collaborative work environment. Further we promote opportunities for professional development and growth.
